TALEIGA RED DOC 2017
Produced with Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta-Roriz and Jaen grape varieties this wine presents a clear appearance, brick red nuances and a delicate aroma with expression notes of ripe red fruits. In the mouth it reveals a soft and pleasant body, finesse flavour and a long persistence. It should be served at a temperature between 16 to 18ºC. It is a ready-to-consume wine but it can be saved for another 5 years.
“Taleiga is all about richness and power but with a touch of the velvet glove. Blackcurrant and violets dominate this tight little red flecked with tar (think young nebbiolo), leather and tobacco notes.”
“Solid earthy nose with black cherry, coffee bean, plum, vanilla oak, gentle garden herbaceous in the background. Integrated meaty tannins match savoury acidity, astringency. Strong home canned black cherry flavour, spicy oak provides cinnamon, clove. All indigenous grapes and it shows a superlative old world offering."
